The Kids' Room

We pulled an all-nighter (pretty much) to paint Clive and Baby's room and learned in the process that we're not fans of Valspar paint because it's dumb and doesn't cover very well. We thought we'd finished this painting adventure at midnight and exhausted, went to bed  looking forward to the next morning when we could arrange furniture and hang things but discovered super patchy paint on ALL the walls. Bummer. So we did a coat this morning and we wipe our hands of this project; crappy looking or not. At least the walls are the desired color now and not off-white anymore.

Grant rigged this TV set-up for us to watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics :)

Hug break

These photos are a few weeks old. We learned our lesson in trying to paint EVERYTHING in the same day.  So Grant just did the trim on this night.
This guy is the end of the roller handle that almost claimed Clive's life last night...ok, not really. It just snapped off while Grant was rolling the ceiling and smacked Clive in the arm; not so much hurting him as scaring him to death. Poor little buddy.

How does painting always end up this messy?

And the [almost] finished product! I still have a few pictures to hang and want a wall shelf for Clive's books. Way better than before though!
